JAGS and Tigers roll………PVAMU celebrates!AA

OK, I am a little late…had an eye appointment that delayed me yesterday…..Let’s get to it……Southern University looks to be on a mission and a return trip back to Houston and possibly Atlanta. The Jaguars took to the road and won 45-34 at Alabama State. The Jags jumped to a 17-0 lead and later 31-8 lead heading into the third. However, Coach Brian Jenkins insulted back up QB Daniel Duhart and the rally was on. However, the Jaguars trade TD’S enough to hold on to the win. SU’S Austin Howard 355 yards and 4TD’S paced the Jags. Howard spread the wealth as the Jags TE’S were 2 for 2 in reaching the endzone. ASU’S Daniel Duhart 125 yards and 3tds paced the Hornets.

Grambling State didn’t waste time either as the Tigers blitzed AAMU 37-14 at home. GSU QB Johnathan Williams 255 yards and 3tds paced the Tigers. RB Montiez Carter 124 yards paced the ground game. WR Chad Williams 124 yards and 1td paced the pass catchers. AAMU back up QB Damion May passed for 163 yards to pace the Bulldogs.

Coach Willie Simmons gave the PVAMU alumni and nation a well deserved gift as the Panthers throttled the MVSU Delta Devils 45-6 for Homecoming. QB Trey Green 226 and 2 tds paced the Panthers offense. RB Johnta Herbert 113 yards rushing paced the ground game.
