Rambling Wrecks the Braves Enroute to a blowout……

Welcome to big time football …..That’s what Alcorn State endured last night at Bobby Dodd Staduim on the campus of Georgia Tech. The Rambling Wreck rambled out to a 34-0 lead in the first quarter. The Yellow Jackets used their mutiple option to rush for a team high 476 yards. RB Marcus Marshall rushed for 184 and 2TDS  while fellow RB  Patrick Skov rushed for 72 yards and 3TD. Several other Yellow Jackets made their first splash to the endzone as well. The Rambling Wreck defense held Presason SWAC Player QB John Gibbs to only 50 yards passing and 51 yards on the ground. They held the Braves to only 166 yards of total offense with most of that coming in the second half. RB Aaron Baker scored the Braves only TD, a six yard scaper in the third quarter to put the Braves on the board. Georgia Tech used a bevy of backs to wear down the Braves thin defense time and time again. The Yellow Jackets Multiple option gave the Braves all types of problems as the Rambling Wreck RB had huge gains all night long. The defense gave John Gibbs all kinds of fits including throwing an interception that eventually gave the Rambling Wreck points. All in all ,the Braves escaped without any major injuries and will live to see another day. Coach Hopson gave the Braves a much needed wake up call in reguards to playing up and getting better. Coach Paul Johnson was able to use last night game to gauge his back ups in real time to see who can help when needed. Alcorn State gets’ a needed boost in the athletic department with a nice payout and still has plans on returning to Atlanta for the much anticipated Celebration Bowl in December…………………………………realsportsrealtalk
