Good morning, I hope that your day is as blessed as mine. OK…Let’s get to it. The 2013 SWAC Championship is set. The Jackson State Tigers will take on the Southern Jaguars in a game that could be the highest attended game in the history of the conference championship game. In 1999 , the Jags and Tigers met with SU taking a 31-30 win in front  of nearly 40K fans in Birmingham. Now at a larger venue  and an NFL staduim, we could expect the crowd to be around 50k. The Tigers picked up a road win against the AAMU Bulldogs 26-20 upping their record to 8-2 and 8-0 in SWAC play. The Jags also grabbed a win on the road as they came from behind to win at Alabama State 31-28. The Jags sealed the deal as time expired with a 30 yard FG to win it. SU is 6-4 and 6-2 IN Swac play. This 2013 SWAC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME could the best one yet. Both teams have pride and tradition and want to prove that they are the class of the Swac. Southern will be trying to avenge a close loss 19-14 back in September. The Tigers held on the last play of the game as SU’S Dray Joseph misconnected with his TE in the endzone. There has been more trash talking going on with still a few games left to be played. JSU has it’s annually showdown with Alcorn while SU host Clark of Atlanta before heading down to New Orleans to mtake on the GSU Tigers. JSU doesn’t want to slep on the Braves while SU cant take CAU and GSU lightly. With that December showdown approaching , axiety along with excitement is starting to build up. Many fans and family alike will make the trekk to Houston for a fun filled weekend………..REALSPORTSREALTALK!
