SWAC Football: More showdowns make the trip to Houston clearer…..

Good Morning , I hope that all is well…..OK..Lets get to it….In SWAC FOOTBALL, things are starting to sort out a little bit but we still have a few more weeks before tickets can be punched for the Championship game here in Houston. With the NCAA calling the Jackson state forfieted win over Grambling a no contest, it leaves JSU in limbo. However, I do beleive that the conference will award the Tigers the win. Alabama State steps out of conference play to travel to Lexington to take on the SEC’S KENTUCKY WILDCATS in a non conference matchup. The Hornets have been on a 6 game winning streak and would like to test their toughness against the Wildcats but at the same time stay injury free. ALcorn State fresh off their OT victory in Baton Rouge is also one game behind Jackson State in the East. Alcorn host AAMU Bulldogs in a key matchup in Lorman. The Braves are trying to run the table and force a three way tie between JSU, ASU ,and themselves. Over in the West, Southern University fresh off an OT loss at home to ALcorn, controls its own destiny. The Jags hold a game lead over PVAMU . The Jags need to win out to stay ahead of the Panthers in route to Houston. The Jags travel to Houston to take on the TSU TIGERS in what could be a trap game for SU.  Meanwhile, the Panthers who are idle this weekend must travel to Lorman to take on the ALCORN STATE BRAVES in a key matchup next week. A loss could end their title hopes. Well as you see, the picture is still murky at this point. This weekend will give us a better chance of what to expect on Decemeber 7, 2013…..stay tune…..realsportsrealtalk…
