SWAC Football : Midterm Grades dictate a possible finish?

Good morning my people. I hope that the sports continue to bring us happiness. Well, let’s get to it. As we approach the midway point of the football season, there are many teams jockeying for a late push into post season and there are teams pushing for the end of season. In the Southwestern Athletic Conference, it’s all the same. Over in the East division Jackson State remains underfeated and seems to be making plans to be in Houston on December 7.

East Division

Jackson State…..5-0….Making headway with only formible challenge from PVAMU and Alcorn State left

Alabama State…5-1..Winning to stay in the mix can do them good.

Alcorn State…4-1….Braves could be a dark horse….Road games at Texas Southern and Southern could be challenging…

Alabama A&M..2-3..Youthful Bulldogs are still trying to grow up

MVSU…1-4……Devils are trying their best in the Delta

Over in the West, Southern looks to separate themselves from PVAMU as the Jags hit the road to play at 0-6 UAPB. This game could be challenging and could pose problems for the Jags. PVAMU lost a tough one in OT at Alabama State 48-42. The Panthers host MVSU for homecoming and they need Southern to lose to have any shot at the West crown…

Southern..4-1….Jags control their own destiny,,,

PVAMU  3-2…..PVAMU needs help plus SU owns the tie breaker….

Texas Southern….Tigers won at UAPB….could use a few more home wins with Alcorn and Southern visiting.

UAPB….0-6…..2012 SWAC champs have become chumps…

Grambling State…0-6….Tigers face the chance of becoming the worst team in school history…….

December 7 could be a great day in SWAC history if the right teams make it to Houston………realsportsrealtalk….
