Morning folks….Just as I watched college basketball from my living room yesterday , the news ticker below on ESPN stated that CHRIS PAUL had been traded to the LA CLIPPERS. That was news to my ears. After watching David Stern vetoe the deal days prior, CP3 got smart and threatened legal action and the results where action in his favor. The HORNETS sent Paul out west for ERIC GORDON, CHRIS KAMAN, and another player plus 2 first round picks to round out the deal. Pual’s action seem to get the eyes of many critics who actually believed that STERN would have not let Paul leave a teamed owned by the league. Well, Paul is free from the shackles of the NBA and with one year left on his contract, he could still join KOBE and the LAKERS next season. This deal was seen through the eyes of many as if the league would have control over teams trying to stock pile stars. The ORLANDO MAGIC has pulled DWIGHT HOWARD off the trading block with GLEN BIG BABY DAVIS coming aboard in Orlando. HOWARD was sought by the NETS and the LAKERS as well and may still end up somewhere in the near future. Owners such as DANIEL GILBERT of the CLEVELAND CAVALIERS , who lost LEBRON JAMES to the HEAT will not let teams recruit and develop Mega Star teams that could dominate small market teams. DAVID STERN has bought into GILBERT’S idea and now is sort of a watch dog for teams who have ideas. CP3 has beatened the system by showing the league that players still do have rights also. What do yall think………realsportsrealtalk……..
