With the NBA trading deadline fastly approaching , it seems that most NBA GM’S are sitting on their hands waitng for something to happen. The CARMELO ANTHONY drama ended last week with a KNICKS decline on an offer made by the NUGGETS. I really think that this unsolved CBA deal has alot of folk sitting quiet for a change. Folk will be watching the next 7 days to see if any movement talks place. Well since the NBA’S ALL STAR GALA is only a few days away , I have created my own MID TERM GRADES FOR THE LEAGUES TOP 7 TEAMS……
1. SAN ANTONIO SPURSÂ 46-9……BEST RECORD IN THE LEAGUE…..POP HAS THEM PLAYING GREAT TOGETHER…HOWEVER IN A SEVEN GAMES SERIES AGAINST THE LAKERS…CAN YOUNG GUYS LIKE BLAIR, HILL, AND NEAL PERFORM LIKE THEY DID DURING THE SEASON……………………A-
2. DALLAS MAVS…..38-16……MARK CUBAN’S GUYS ARE FUN TO WATCH…WITH PEJA COMING ABARD, THE MAVS MIGHT ADVANCE TO THE WEST CONFERENCE FINALS……GUYS LIKE TERRY, CHANDLER, MARION, MUST CONTRIBUTE…….HOWEVER….TOO MUCH WHINNING MIGHT CATCH UP WITH THEM…………..B=
3. L.A.LAKERS……38-18……KOBE AND COMPANY PLAY WELL WHEN CHALLENGED, BUT DROPPING GAMES TO THE BOBCATS HURT THEIR PSCHE……THESE LAKE PROVEN TO BE WINNERS WHEN IT COUNTS…..VETS LIKE GASOL, ODOM, FISHER, PRODUCE WHEN NEEDED……………………..B=
4. MIAMI HEAT…….40-15……..THE MOST TALENTED TEAM IN THE LEAGUE IS STILL GETTING MASTERED BY BOSTON……THEY HAVE ALOT TO PROVE AND THEY MUST FIRST TAKE OUT THE CELTICS TO GET MUCH NEEDED RESPECT IN THE EAST…..YOUNG COACH MUST FIGURE OUT A WAY TO KEEP HIS TALENTED TEAM MOTIVATED TO WIN THE BIG GAMES…………………………………………..B-
5. CHICAGO BULLS…….37-16…….DERRICH ROSE IS HAVING AN MVP SEASON, HOWEVER INJURIES AND INCONSISTENT PLAY BY ROLE PLAYERS SEEM TO HURT THE BULLS. CHICAGO HAS PROVEN TO BE GIANT KILLERS HOWEVER, THEY MUST GET HEALTHY AND GET CONSISTENT……………….C+
6. OKLAHOUMA CITY…..35-19…….KEVIN DURANT IS LEADING THE THUNDER INTO NEW TERRITORY..HOWEVER INEXPERIENCE STILL CATCHES UP WITH THIS YOUNG TALENTED TEAM….THIS IS NOT THEIR TIME….IF ALL THE PARTS REMAIN AND THEY GET A HUNGRY VET TO ADD TO THE MIX…..THEY COULD RISE…………..C+
8. ORLANDO MAGIC…….35-21……SUPERMAN IS GOOD AND THE MAGIC IS GOOD BUT….ORLANDO’S BIGGEST PROBLEM IS IF HOWARD DOESN’T DO HIS THING…OFFENSE STILL REMAINS STABLE. I SEE THEM MAKING TO THE SEMI FINALS…..HOWARD SEEMS TO WANT OUT ….TIME WILL TELL……….C+
DISAPPOINTTING TEAM……MY HOME TOWN HOUSTON ROACKETS HAVE DONE IT AGAIN…..AT 26-30……THE ROCKETS HAVE NOT DONEANYTHING TO BETTER THEMSELVES…..THE POST TRACY MCGRADY..YAO MING ERA BEGINS…..MARTIN, BROOKS, LEE, HAYES, BATTIER, PATTERSON, LOWRY, ETC……SEEMS LIKE A ALL STAR D-LEAGUE TEAM….DARYL MOREY MUST FIGURE OUT HOW TO TURN THE CORNER WITH THIS TEAM….KINDA REMIND ME OF THE HOUSTON ASTROS…TOO MANY GOOD GUYS ON THE TEAM…NOT ENOUGH LEADERS….STAR POWER IS LACKING….d+

I agree with everything you said except your grades on the Heat and the Bulls. How can you give the Heat a B- and they are 40-15 and have dealt with injuries as well as learning to play together as a new team? I give them a A- at best or a B+ at worst. Also the Chicago Bulls deserve a B+ grade. Boozer and Noah have only played a handful of games together due to injuries. Because of Rose MVP play, and their steller team defense, they are in the hunt. You have done both teams a disservice with your ratings

The Bulls are not a C+ team. You have to remember the Bulls played the first two months of the regular season without Carlos Boozer. Since then they have played several months without Noah.
In that time Chicago is 21-8, and 2 games behind Boston for the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conferences. I agree that the Bulls need to be more consistent on the road. Just a shade over .500 is not good for an elite team.
Once Noah gets back into the flow of things after the All-Star break, Chicago should be a dangerous team come playoff time.
